Rowe served as department chair from 1996 until his retirement in 2006.
Rowe is a past president of the American Phytopathological Society (1992-1993) and remains active in the society. He was honored with the APS Distinguished Service award in 2012 > News release
In his retirement, Randy and his wife reside in the Wooster area. They enjoy traveling, spending time with family, and hobbies such as birding. He still maintains involvement in various plant pathology projects.
