Dr. Oscar E. Bradfute was appointed in 1965 as assistant professor and electron microscopist to establish the electron microscope laboratory on the Wooster campus. He conducted research on detection and identification of virus and virus-like disease agents of maize. Dr. Bradfute retired in 1994.
